This is not about semiotics

words define
they are images
without words
only color, shape

there goes a girl
a word, multiple words

shoes thick,
as tall as my wallet on end
pants covering just enough

your image is a word
in the mind of everyone
inaccessible

floating in the world
it would be nice
to pry open a head,
with a can opener

pull out the words
that describe me

fix the spelling errors
put them back in
remove the misconceptions
insert happy bunnies
and flowers

maybe people would be nicer
as a whole
that way

words are power
and this poem
is not.
