Poem of the Century

Writing poems
I want to rhyme this
don’t rhyme it sucks

everybody rhymes, so to write
a poem to beat
all other writing
fiction and false

my poem won’t rhyme.
Rhythm, fuck that.
Who wants rhythm in
the poem of the century?

they like whats different
so I will be strange
and not follow
what few rules I know.

of course I know
that I will inevitably
fall into a useless category
of misrepresentation and abuse

and my poem will be taken
out with the refuse
damnit I just rhymed
just what I said, I told you
what would happen
to the poem of the
century.
