Beauty

you look
at the people coming
down the street.

empty eyes
all of them.
beautiful, but empty.

people buying specialty
beauty products,
causing evermore beauty

and evermore emptiness.

few have eyes with spirit
anymore.
emptiness all around.

people panic
when death comes knocking
they don’t know,
its always knocking.

the irony,
everybody is always dying
some are already dead.

if we weren’t dying
and life was infinite
it would be empty.

people are backwards
fixation of death
brings them to spiritual emptiness.

spirituality
comes from
love of life.

they are scared
of what thought might bring,
good deep soul cleansing reflection.

empty eyes all around.
